JTA Holidays, Air Transat & Destination Ontario familiarisation Trip to Niagara Falls & Toronto

A big thank you to Emma at JTA, Rai at Air Transat and Destination Ontario for a wonderful trip and Holiday Lounge offering it to me.

Thursday 28th November:

We all met at Gatwick North Terminal at the Air Transat check in area at 08.30, check in and security was a fast and a easy process.

Travelled in Eco Flex, which allowed luggage, head phones, blanket, 2x alcohol drinks with main meal.

Air Transat seats were spacious, comfortable and the service was very attentive.

On arrival in Toronto we were transferred which took approximately 2hours to Sheraton Fallsview

Hotel in Niagara.

Sheraton Fallsview Hotel, Niagara.

I would definitely recommend a Fallsview room as the view was spectacular.

Dinner was at the Prime Steakhouse at the Crown Plaza Niagara (which is adjacent to Fallsview all undercover).

Dinner was excellent and service very good.

Friday 29th November:

Hosted Breakfast with Mario of Canadian Niagara Hotels at the Fallsview Dining

Room offering a wide selection of buffet breakfast.

Checkout of the Sheraton Fallsview, store luggage for the day

Niagara City Cruise – Voyage To The Falls Boat Tour

The 20-minute Voyage to the Falls boat tour brings guests on the journey of a

lifetime. Enjoy stunning views of the Niagara Gorge, American Falls, and Bridal

Veil Falls, and come face-to-face with the famous Canadian Horseshoe Falls. Feel

the thundering roar, awesome power, and amazing mist (a protective recyclable

mist poncho is provided) that come along with these natural wonders.

Visit Niagara Parks Power Station & Tunnel

The first major power plant on the Canadian side of the Niagara River with immersive exhibits, restored artifacts and interactive storytelling.

Lunch provided at the Table Rock Restaurant with stunning views overlooking the falls.

Followed on from lunch Niagara Helicopter Flight, what can I say other than amazing and mesmerizing. Cost is approximately $150.00 (approx £85.00 p/p) worth every penny.

Wine tasting at Chateau Des Charmes, unfortunately we didn’t have much time to tour this Beautiful Chateau before making our way to Niagara on the Lake.

Short stop at Niagara on the Lake, a picturesque road with Boutique Hotels. A good base from Niagara a good option for a quieter stay but not to far from the busier resort.

Depart Niagara by coach which took approximately 3hours to spend 02nts at the Novotel Toronto. The hotel was in a good location, nice spacious modern rooms, 1restaurant/bar and indoor pool.

After such a busy day straight to bed.

Toronto is known for it’s many Skyscrapers and high rise buildings, in particular the CN Tower, the tallest freestanding structure on land outside of Asia.

Toronto, the capital of the province of Ontario, is a major Canadian city along Lake Ontario’s northwestern shore with lots of green spaces.

It offers visitors a fantastic collection of attractions, delicious cuisine; and it also acts as a great base to explore more of what Canada has to offer.

Saturday 30th November:

Depart hotel by subway to the Chelsea Hotel Toronto.

The Subway was clean, effcient, very reasonable, paid approx $3.25 for unlimited travel on subway/buses valid for 2hrs from departure.

Site Inspection & hosted breakfast at the Chelsea Toronto Hotel. Great central location, recently been renovated.

Tour guide & driver for a day of sightseeing of Toronto, which gave a great in sight of City, places of interest.

On to St Lawrence Market which is a indoor food market, which was interesting to see the local produce.

Walking tour of the Distillery District

The pedestrian-only Distillery District, set in quaint 19th century buildings that once housed a large whiskey distillery, draws crowds to its cobblestone streets lined with hip indie restaurants, bars and boutiques. Art lovers come for the galleries, outdoor sculptures and dance, music and stage performances at the area’s several theatres. In December, the annual Toronto Christmas Market takes over the streets.

Return back to the hotel to get ready for dinner at the CN Tower

This iconic Canadian landmark stands at a staggering 553 meters and offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city and its surroundings from its observation …

Lovely meal eaten in the revolving restaurant.
