Amazing trip to Lapland staying in the Davi Artic Star in the village that borders Finland and Sweden called Karesuando. The village is split in half by the Muonio River, with one side in Finland and the other in Sweden. 2 different time zones with just the bridge & river separating them.
We were met at the small airport by our Transun rep, Calvin, who accompanied us on the coach.
All suits and boots were collected on our way to the hotel for you to use for the full duration.
Day 1
We had an evening meal and welcome meeting on arrival to explain the next few days.
All times for meals activities excursions are in reception on the notice boards and updated daily depending on weather etc. We were so lucky that while eating our first dinner the rep advised the lights appeared and we all gathered outside.
Day 2
We were collected and taken to the reindeer camp about 30mins from the hotel where we were taken across the frozen lake in a sleigh pulled by reindeers and able to feed them after.
After our evening meal on day 2 we were taken to the Davi Artic Lodge 10minutes away where we were able to ride snowmobiles over the Muoino River to chase the northern lights. We stopped in the middle of the river where we enjoyed a hot Gloggi (there local berry drink) and watch the northern lights.
Day 3
Up and out early for the husky safari where we were able to Mush the huskies through a 5km path of snow, a lot harder than it sounds 
Day 3 evening- Met at the Davi artic lodge where we were taken on a trek through the forest again where we had amazing northern lights
Day 4
Our group had a fantastic trek through the area next to the hotel where we had lovely guides to explain all the nature including magic mushrooms. A lot of the group spent a lot of time falling over on this excursion, was great fun!
Experience was a 10/10
Hotel was warm, welcoming and comfortable with lovely meal choices that were what you wanted after a day in the cold.
